It is said that good things come in threes, and now so does our newsletter!

Our biggest piece of news this month is to report that our debut novel, The Major Arcana, has been selected by book distributor IngramSpark for inclusion at their author exhibit at the American Library Association Annual Conference & Exhibition! This event takes place in Chicago from June 25-29. So no, Jason and R.W. are not going to Chicago, but our book is! We are very proud and excited for this opportunity to have our book showcased to over 12,000 librarians, educators, and industry professionals.

Getting more eyeballs on The Major Arcana is obviously a significant goal for us as we strive to build an audience ahead of the release of our second novel, Projekt. Of course, making some sales along the way is great too, and we are creeping up on a hundred of those. It’s a modest number, to be sure, but every single one is a big deal for us, as independent writers doing this without the financial backing of a major publisher (though we have had our families chip in to help us out, and we are so grateful for the support).

While all of this is going on, we are making great progress on our first round of revisions for Projekt, with our typical unique creative style of arguing excessively until one of us is too exhausted to continue. If any of you are interested in learning more about our creative process, please allow us to plug romance writer Hope Engel, who hosts a series of fascinating discussions with other writers. Both Jason and R.W. have appeared in interviews, and you can find these and more on YouTube. Just search for @AuthorHopeEngel and check them out!

Thanks as always for joining us on our literary journey! Follow us on Bluesky at @chaoscatcreative.bsky.social, @marbach.bsky.social, and @[email protected]. Follow us in real life to see a horsebrained kaiju rampage across Houston, and a sleep-deprived strangeling throw a thousand ideas at the wall in the hopes of one sticking.
